Veterinary Immunology deals with basic immunology, a discipline which is aimed at delivering basic concepts on the defence system of the animal body to students. The following aims are targeted in this section of the course. •To introduce students with the fundamental principles of immunology. •To gain an insight into the immune mechanisms of an animal in health and disease conditions. •To discuss methods of manipulating the immune system in diagnosis, prevention & control of animal diseases.
