About Applied Anthropology
The course ‘applied anthropology’ intends to equip the students with the analytical skills to examine and understand the practical application of anthropological principles, theories and concepts to the real human problems and over all issues. Therefore, fellow social anthropology students are expected to equip with the necessary knowledge regarding development anthropology. The course comprised interrelated conceptual frame works regarding the major phenomenon and concepts in the application of the practical anthropology. The conceptual frame works of the course includes: the meaning and historical contexts, practicing medical, nutritional, and urban anthropology, the role of anthropology in preserving the past and to the planned change and the involvement of anthropologists in different carriers.
