About Health Service Management
Course description: This course is designed to give the Midwifery student a basic concept of health services management. It begins by introducing the trainee to the lay and professional concept of health. It then goes on to deal with factors affecting health. It will also give students the knowledge about the relationship of health and development, health systems, Primary health care and health for all, definition and applicability to public health of subjects taught under public health, identifying community health problems, indicators of health status of a population, and major strategies of improving public health in developing countries
